Here at Cornwall Glass we pride ourselves on providing the most professional and effective glass services; from collaborating closely with our clients on custom glass projects, to installing different glass items and providing commercial glass maintenance, and everything in between. Once the glass is installed, knowing the best way to maintain it will help preserve and protect its integrity.
Glass shower doors not only add the perfect visual aesthetic to a bathroom, they make for a better and more functional way to contain the shower. The following are some great ways to help keep your glass showers clean:
‘Squeegee, Squeegee, Squeegee
Prevention is key. “The best thing you can do is squeegee the door after each use. Keep one hanging in your shower to make it easy. It’ll help keep hard-water deposits from building up, so you won’t have to scrub so much later.
Multitask
Clean the shower door as you’re finishing up your shower. The warm water has already loosed up the grime, plus you don’t have to worry about getting messy or wet. Use a sponge or foam cleaning pad such as a Magic Eraser, and you won’t need to mess around with additional cleaning products or chemicals.
Citrus Solutions
Cut a lemon in half. Dip one half in baking soda, then rub on the glass door. Once you get the glass clean, rub it with a little lemon oil, too. The oil will repel the water so the soap doesn’t dry on the glass.’ (Berit Thorkelson, bhg.com)
